Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and fathers who act like mothers out there!

A mother can be a sibling, grandparent, a father, a friend who act like one - regardless of blood relation and/or birthing from a woman (Mother). To the single parent out there who acts like both roles, Mother and Father - hats off to you!

For those without a mother, I hope there is someone out there who acts like a second mother to you.

Today, I have both my grandmas here, paternal and maternal and it is a full house! Let me tell you, this is the first time in many years I've seen both my grandmas together, in the same room - paternal grandma lives in the same city as me and maternal grandma lives in another country - we made use of this special day! After all their mothers are what brought all of us together, both giving birth to my parents and carrying on quite a few generations. I love having them here together - it's cute seeing them together, like a couple of best friends hanging out together, doing things together and napping together on my bed! Here's to a number of many years of them hanging out together in the same room.

I have a Mother, and she is my best friend. We have our differences and similarities but it's the special bond that brings us together. A lot of people say I look like her and I am not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...KIDDING, Mom! I'm sure it's a good thing ;)

Haha, all jokes aside. I have two pictures of me with my mom many years ago, in the 90's, and no, I won't tell you which year specifically (for obvious reasons) - I want to keep my age hidden. The pictures were taken in Goa, India.

Yes, she was and still IS very pretty - but beauty is within the inside, not the outside. Beauty fades away, not with me, naturally...'cuz ya know. ME!

In the first picture, this is what I wanted to do; hang over the hammock and play with the sand.

Second picture: my mom made me lie down with her and as you can see, I don't look very happy. "I WANT TO PLAY WITH THE SAND, MOM!" I guess she did let me play after that.

Enjoy these two pictures, peeps! Many great years with her and many, many more to go!

I am a mini-her. Not so much anymore, in terms of appearance - I've gotten comments that I look more of my dad, now.

I'll save that for the Father's Day post!

Enjoy your lovely Sunday, everyone!
